Miss Dior Eau de Toilette!

Miss Dior, has become such a popular perfume, and like many, I fell for the gorgeous fresh fragrance. I am terrible at explaining perfume scents, so this is what it apparently smells like; François Demachy likes a stroll through a blossoming garden. The same Couture style and the same theme are prolonged from the original Miss Dior to this new opus: a chypre accord, which is enlivened with a springtime spirit. A fragrance with floral accents that dazzles with joie de vivre. I bought the Eau de Toilette and really regret it. I love the scent, the notes are gorgeous, however I find that once I have sprayed the perfume, the smell fades to the point that I can't smell it, after about fifteen minutes. In my opinion the eau de toilette scent is not strong enough, in any way, and for that reason I purchased the le parfum, because I do love the scent! I would really advice anyone who is wanting to buy this perfume, to spend the extra £15 ( around about) and get the le parfum, because the scent lasts so much longer, and you don't have to constantly respray which wastes product. The eau de toilette is about £50 and the le parfum is about £63 (according to the perfumeshop). This is a truly amazing product, so spend the extra, it's really worth it!

Camouflage Trend !

The camouflauge army trend is definetly like marmite, you either love it, or hate it. I for one absolutley love it! I haven't found an army jacket that I love yet, but I am on the look out for one! The trend is slightly masculine, however you can add your own twist to it and make it your style and more feminine! I did pick up a shirt the other day, based around this trend, and I have already worn it about three times, I am just so in love with it!. The shirt is from Newlook, and was £24.99. I thought it was quite expensive, but only because I think Newlook supplies quite low priced pieces, with amazing quality! If you are intersted in this item, what I will say is it is quite oversized, so you may want to consider going a size down. I love wearing this shirt with leggings and knee boots, with my studded bag. It gives a really edgy, and on trend look, and being a real girly girl, I like to change it up, and experiment with current fashion!

Zara Parka!

I love Parka's! However I have always found that they haven't suited me as much as I would like them to. This parka though is a complete exception. I absolutely love it! The coat has a thick sheep skin layer inside and on the inner hood., There are four pockets, all together and the simplicty of it allows the coat to be worn casually or a bit more dressy (I dont mean for a night out occassion, but an interview or meeting). The coat is medium lengthed, and can be pulled in at the waist, so you can make it suit your figure! It also has a leather detailing down the zip and around the collar, making it alot different from other parka's I have seen. The price of this coat is £89.00. To some people this is pretty steep, however the thickness of this coat, and by the fact I got it at the beginning of October, and being England it is always cold, I feel like I will get my moneys worth for this item and I absolutely love it! Parka's are such a statement piece for this Winter, and this will probably become a fashion favourite. If you are looking for a cheaper priced parka, H&M sell one, which comes in around four different colours (khaki green being one of them), under £40.00 and Primark do one for under £30!

YSL Rouge Volupte Lipsticks!

I had such high hopes for these lipsticks! I am a huge fan of YSL, and I often purchase products from their makeup line, however this product wasn't really for me! I am in no way, saying that this product is poor quality (because it isn't), it's just the texture that doesn't make me fall in love with these lipsticks.

The Rouge Volupte lipsticks, have been around for quite a while now, and for many people, are a staple lip product. The way this lipstick applies is to soft for me. By this I mean it feels more like a moisturiser on my lips and the colour on the lips lasts about half an hour (on me)! It is like a MAC cremesheen formula, with that extra moisture, and it doesnt seem to dry at all, meaning that it comes off pretty quickly as the lips haven't absorbed the product. These lipsticks are £23.50, and although I feel that MAC lipsticks give a nicer effect, if you like constant moisture and a hydration feel on your lips then this may just be the product for you!

There is a good range of colours from this particular line, and I fell in love with most of them, when I first spotted them at the counter! The packaging is also gorgeous. YSL definetly wins the award for me when it comes to packaging products making everything from their makeup line feel like a luxury treat!

Mac Viva Glam Collection!

The Viva Glam collection from Mac, has been in my opinion a huge success! Although it's a small collection, with only three products, the quality is of course exceptional and the gorgeous pink lipstick and lipgloss, is that true Barbie pink colour. Let's admit, the lipstick isn't really a day to day product, however on a night out or when you want to add a little bit extra to your look, this fits the bill!

The first item is from Ricky Martin, this is his only product in the collection, and it is a lip conditioner. In my opinion it is really effective and every night I apply this product onto my lips before using Lush's lip scrub, giving you the perfect lip treatment! My only slight dislike to this product, is that, to me it has an ever so slight chocolate scent. I personally prefer fruity scents when it comes to makeup especially lip products. It doesn't taste of chocolate, however the intial smell I am not a fan of. However this is a completly personal opinion, you may love this kind of scent so don't let this put you off the product, because it is really good! The price of this product is £11!

Next is the Nicki Minaj lipstick. It is a vibrant barbie pink shade, and it has a satin formula. I love this product so much. I suit pinks more than coral shades and this was one of those products I just felt like I needed to have, even though 99% of my lipsticks are pink! I don't have enough good words to say about this product, and would definetly recommend purchasing it before the collection ends! The price of this product is £14.

The last product in the collection, is the Nicki Minaj lipglass. This is my favourite product from the collection! It is wearable on a day to day basis, and the shade of pink, is exceptional, and it comes out true to form on your lips! I love it so much! My favourite Mac lipglass used to be pink lemonade, but this lipglass is now my No.1 favourite. If you love pink lip products, and you have been looking for that perfect slightly bright pink but super wearable, then this is the product for you, I really would recommend you purchasing this product more than anything else in the collection, it is truly amazing! The price of this product is £13.50.

Mac is one of these brands that so many people love of all ages! This collection is no acception. It has been one of my number one favourite collections from Mac despite the small selection of products. It really is quality not quantity. The products mentioned are all still available, but won't be for much longer, I can promise you, that this won't be a regret purchasing the products. Lets just hope the upcoming Marilyn Monroe collection is as good as this one!

September Glossybox!

To say this months Glossybox wasn't the best, is a complete lie. In my opinion, it was below par! After last months blip, with the cheap quality eyeshadows, and nail care product, I really thought that Glossybox would bring out the "big guns" and amaze use with,  what their boxes used to be like. But they didnt. It isnt so much the products I dislike, it's the size of them. Small samples, the size you can get for free ( this was the case for two of the five products), and the rest of them, although you get slightly more product, there is no full sized item at all. There is always normally at least one full size product.

So todays post isn't so much about the products and my opinions, but just my first impressions of the box. With samples as small as the ones I received, I probably won't remember to use them, they will be left in a drawer until I have a clearout. And the Balance Me product has been something that was given away as a freebie in a Glamour magazine about two months ago! It's such a shame, as the box has been so beautifully designed, however the items inside let it down, and therefore for me this has been the worst box, I have ever recieved!

Sorry this has been such a negative post, however I am subscribing to Joliebox so next month hopefully I will have a more positive review. Also the products you recieve in Glossybox varies! Comment below if you were pleased or not, with this months box!

Shu uemura !

Feminine Palette

Today I went to the launch of Shu uemura's new collection, in which the company collaborated with Karl Lagerfeld. We saw the new products, and got to test them out. In this collection there are two palettes. One feminine (left), and one more on the masculine side (right). There are six shadows in each palette. The eyeshadows are so beautifully pigmented, however they aren't colours I usually wear, however the quality is exceptional! There are also four lipsticks in this range, two are quite dramatic and bold ( red, and a dark purple/brown) and the other two are nudes. There are also two gel eyeliners in the collection, a deep purple and a dark brown. These are very pigmented however I did find that they smudged on me quite quickly! There is also a new eyelash curler  in the collection, with a chain of the "mascot" on it, which is optional to keep on or take off. The mascot is a women with red eyes, to show the Japenese flag and a black bob hairstyle. Fianlly there are two pairs of eyelashes in the collection, neither of them are natural looking, which is what i look for in flase eyelashes! All in all, I wasn't in love with the collection's colours, I really wanted to fall in love with the palettes but the colours werent really my style. The lipsticks I thought weren't to different from others I have myself or have seen from other brands. The eyelash curler definetly stood out for me, it had gorgeous detailing and works amazingly!

We also tried products from the permanent line, and for some reason my skin didnt take a great liking to a few of the products. We used an oil cleanser and having oily combination skin, I don't think I got the best results from it. The serum made my face sting for about half an hour and my face felt very hot and went really red. And the foundation I didnt find gave me as much coverage as I would have liked. However I would recommend this as a summer foundation, but in the Winter I prefer that little extra coverage!
I loved the brushes we used, the large blush brush was made from goats hair and another one we used was squirrel hair. Although that is slightly unappealing sounding to use on your face, they are so soft and easy to work with.
I did purchase a few products from the permanent line, however none from the new collection. I bought an eyeshadow highlight " M white 907" a brown shimmer shadow in "ME soft copper 270,". And a gorgeous light pink blush in " M soft pink 335!"

Top 5 favourite blushers!

Because i'm new to blogging, I thought, as well as reviewing and doing hauls, i would tell you about some of my all time favourite products! I will be seperating my favourite products up into different  catergories and posts.  Firstly blush! I decided to do my top 5 favourite blushers, you will notice they are all pink shades as i feel they complement my skin best!

5# Nars "orgasm." This and laguna bronzer are both products that many associate with this brand. This is a pink/coral shade blush, with slight shimmer. This is probably my favourite blush in the summer when I actually have a tan, I find it complements my skin better then, although I do still wear this product throughout the rest of the year! This product lasts all day on me without needing any touch up. It is quite pigmented and adds a gorgeous glow to your cheeks. The price of this product is about £21, and you can get it on their website, or in department stores or online!

4# This is a Jouer blush in the shade "peony," it appears to be an extremely bright , vivid pink however when applied it gives your cheeks that perfect rosy glow, really cute and casual. This is a day and night blush. If you prefer your blush to be obviously noticable then this is a great product as it is very buildable, however if you prefer a more subtle look, that is easy to achieve as well. The price of this blush is £20, and you can purchase it from cultbeauty (online),  which sells a great range of brands, some of which are hard to find in stores!

3# Benefits "throb" just had to be in my top 5! What I simply adore about this blush is that you can just sweep your brush onto the blush and the perfect amount of product comes off. I am not a fan of blushers that i have to be cautious around and can only slowly dab the brush into the product.  It is a wonderful baby pink shade , my favourite colour for a blusher to be!This is a great product for on the go, as the colour is so natural and applies so easily, and I would also recommend this for people who can ownly wear/ want to wear minimal amounts of makeup as it really just emphasises your cheeks, complimenting your skin tone, but in  a natural way! I would also recommend this blush for someone who is starting off with makeup because it isn't noticable you have applied a blush, it just appears natural, so it's almost impossible to go wrong! This blush is £24.50 and so worth it, the blush lasts for such along time, you probably wouldn't have to buy another one, so definetly a great investment and little luxury treat!

2# I love tarte cosmetics and their amazonian clay blushes are no exception! These are amazing products, however they don't sell this brand in the UK (from what I know off) however you can purchase them off ebay, brand new, at a good price! This is a gorgeous light pink colour and looks so amazing on the cheeks.  I love to wear this blush everywhere; when I go out shopping, out for a meal, or out to a party. It is just simply amazing! The price of this blsuh really varies and mine was about £20.00 (off ebay)! Make sure if you do purchase this product, it is genuine and not fake!

1# And number goes to MAC's blush in "well dressed," this is a fantastic product and I can't rate it enough. I love so many of this brands blushes but this one is my perfect colour. It is so natural which I love, and lasts on my skin. Its easy to apply and like benefits "throb" the distribution is great. I absolutely love this product, and highly recommend it! This blush is part of the permanent line, and you can buy it in all stores selling MAC and online. The price of this blush, is about £17.50, and it is a must have in my makeup bag!

Enjoy! xx

H&M and Primark Haul!

I recently went on a bit of a mission, to find affordable shoes and bags, not only for Autumn but also to use now. At the moment the weather is in between fazes, sometimes its hot (warm!), and sometimes it's cold! So I found a few items I think are perfect for this on and off weather!

The first item, is a pair of high-tops from H&M. These are £15, and they feel and look really good quality and I could see them lasting for quite a long time! They have a suede looking appearance and are so versatile! They come in a range of colour including black and a darker brown shade, which I probably will go back and purchase. I chose this grey\brown pair because i felt like they are  in my opinion the most wearable for everyday as the colour goes with absolutely everything (in my wardrobe) that i would wear these shoes with. These are great to wear with jeggings, or jeans and i ecspecially am looking foward to wearing them with my berry jean/jeggings now and in the Autumn and winter months!

The next pair of shoes is from primark, and they are just some simple black brogues. These shoes also come in a tan brown colour. I have been wearing these shoes for about a week now and I have had no blisters from them! Because they arent the best of quality shoes they are very soft material and therefore the back of the shoe isnt uncomfortable and doesnt causee any rubbing! These shoes were £10.

The next pair are again from Primark! I love these shoes, so much. I wouldnt wear them as an everyday shoe during the winter, but for those warmer days they are perfect! They look really good quality and I absolutely love the gold detailing, it adds a bit of sparkle and glams up any look! These shoes are an absolute steal, at only £8!

The rucksack bag, is from Primark and cost £9. I love this bag's shape, size and design. However I did notice that alot of  these bags in the store had rips and tears in them, therefore I wouldnt fill this bag with heavy books or laptops as it could rip! This bag comes in Black ( the colour i have) and navy blue!
The second bag is a medium sized long strap side bag from H&M, it's £12.99, and i absolutely love it. This is perfect if in the Autumn and Winter you wear mainly dark colours, as it adds a touch of neon! It is a bright pink/orange, however if you prefer less statment coloured accessories then they do, this bag in neutral colours (black and brown) as well! This bag is what I would call cute, and its perfect for when you want to take with you minimal stuff which means minimal hassle! This bag is faux leather, and fits quite alot inside. However, because of its design and shape if you overfill the bag it is noticable!
Enjoy! xx

Rimmel Nail Polish "crack your colour!"

I bought the Rimmel "crack your colour," polish recently, in hope of finding that I prefered it to Barry M's "instant nail effect," I dont love either of them, and was quite disappointed ecspecially with this Rimmel product.

The colour I purchased is called 040 "Heart Breaker," and it appears ever so slightly neon red\orange colour. On the nails, it is alot less dramatic, which i don't mind as the colour is still a little different to the rest of the nail polishes i have used. The finish on this nail polish is alot smoother than Barry M's, as i find that one  to be particularly gritty on my nails. However there is very little cracking going on in this product. I used a Barry M nail varnish as my base colour and i found it appeared to look as if  I hadn't finished painting my nails! I then used a rimmel nail polish, just in case the Rimmel formula worked better, yet i got the same basic results! For the fact that this product is supposed to be a cracking polish, it isn't anything special, however if this was a normal nail varnish that had no "nail art effect" then i would definetly recommend this colour!

I also purchased a knew colour from Rimmel, and it is 300 "Pop your pink," this is an absolutely gorgeous nail polish, and would definetly recommend it. The colour looks really "pretty" yet at the same time the neon gives it a bit of an edge.

Both these products are about £3.00 each, and with the neon pink nail varnish, you are definetly getting an absolute steal, with the cracking polish, use it with a really light colour on the nails, for example a light milky pink\cream!
